TERRAIN
Forested dunes typical for coastal areas in Latvia. Mostly open pine forest with good visibility and many small terrain details. Unpaved forest roads and paths. Depending on the weather there may be some sandy patches that could impede wheelchair users.
Map are drawn according to the ISSprOM 2019-2 standard, mapped by Indulis Peilāns and Edmunds Zvaigzne in 2022-2023 and adapted for TrailO by Zita and Jānis Rukšāni. Map scale 1:4000, contour interval 2.5m.

PUNCHING SYSTEM AND COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS
Competitors can start at any time chosen by them, observing a two minute interval between competitors. Pin punchers with paper control cards will be used for PreO, in timed controls and TempO the time and answers will be recorded electronically using the ANT software.
The organisers will provide pin punchers for competitors who do not have their own.
PRIZE GIVING
In PreO, prizes will be awarded to the winner of each day in each class, as well as the overall winners of the first three places in each class.
In TempO, prizes will be awarded to the winners of the first three places in each class.
The results in the J class will be also included in the results of the OE or PE (PreO) or E (TempO) classes.
In classes with less three participants prizes will be awarded only to the 1st place winners of the class.
ENTRIES
Entry fees (price for all days / price for a single day):
- OE, PE - 15€ / 6€
- J, OB, PB - 10€ / 4€
The entry fee for competitors who also participate in other orienteering disciplines in Kāpa 2023 is 10€ / 4€ regardless of class.
